In November 2021, the China Emerging Science and Technology Forum hosted by the Science and Technology Communication Center of the China Association for Science and Technology announced the 2021 China's Rising Star of Science and Technology, and after nominations from all walks of life, public selection and expert review, a total of 52 academic rising stars finally appeared on the podium of the 2021 China’s Rising Star of Science and Technology Selection. Professor Chen Chaoji won the "2021 China's Rising Star of Science and Technology Outstanding Impact Award ".

Since its establishment in 2015, the selection of China's Rising Star of Scientific and Technological has been committed to publicizing outstanding young scholars and inspiring colleagues in the academic field to forge ahead, achieving great success and enthusiastic response, and has been widely supported by all sectors of society. The theme of this forum is the personal growth of scientists and national strategies. Young scientists from 35 research institutes participated in the forum, including Peking University, Tsinghua University, Fudan University, University of Science and Technology of China, North China Electric Power University (Beijing), Beijing Institute of Technology, and Institute of Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences.
