We look into biomass materials from nature for solutions to the energy shortage challenge of our society. By developing biomass-based energy storage materials with efficient mass transfer interfaces and channels through direct modification/utilization or biomimetic strategies to replace the traditional high-carbon-footprint petroleum-based counterparts, we aim to realizing the low-carbon and sustainable iterations of energy storage materials and devices, and finally achieving the green energy and carbon neutrality goals.
